Join us for the second annual Small Farm Equipment Day: a collaboration of WNC Specialty Crop Institute, UNR Desert Farming Initiative, commercial suppliers and local farmers! In an age of high tech agriculture, finding the right tools and equipment for small farms can be both challenging and exciting. From creative farm hacks to new tools and technologies, the right equipment can save time, increase efficiency and increase farm profitability.
The event will be hosted by local farmers and commercial suppliers who will bring equipment and tools for you to try out and see in action. Demonstrations will be held throughout the day, along with tours of the facilities and equipment at the university farm. It will be an opportunity to share old and new products and ideas, and favorite tools and equipment. Take this opportunity to bring your favorite tools or pictures of equipment and share them with fellow producers.
